Stop Eating Out At Restaurants?

Posted in politics with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , on February 17, 2009 by ronhardestyphotos

I was listening to Rush. This guy calls in. He said he was watching Oprah who had Suze Orman on. They recommend to get through the supposed current crisis.

They recommended that everyone not go to restaurant once a month… I was curious

  • Did they recommend not using their car for a month?
  • Did they recommend not using the cell phones for a month?
  • Did they recommend not using electricity for a month?
  • etc.

Why restaurants?

I know! Its a family values thing. They don’t want family’s to all sit around a table, at the same time, eating the same food talking to each other.

Say what you want about politics… The way to get what you want politically is to split family’s, have them argue politics move out, etc. It worked for welfare!

I can tell you the exact time when we were at our best! It is when the Republicans voted segregation out. Everyone was equal…

I can tell you the exact time when we were at our worst! It is when the Democrats voted in welfare and required fathers to not live with families in order to get “Aid To Dependent Children”.

I believe that the way welfare implemented is the cause of where we are today with society’s ills. Such as; gangs, children without dads, moms that turn to drugs and prostitution. High dropout rates in high school, high crime (where blacks supposedly has a disproportionate rate of people in prisons. Where I need to say that “If you can’t do the time don’t do the crime! “. We could have a situation where Blacks do a disproportionate rate of crime. Its like shooting fish in a barrel.

And you do not have to eat the most expensive restaurant in the area. Use commonsense. Anyway, eating at a restaurant is not the same as going to Disneyland or going on a vacation or buying a new diamond ring/watch or a new car.

Eating at a restaurant can raise your self esteem of all those that go. The restaurant money stays in the community.

What do you think?

Obama: Quit Listening to Rush Limbaugh if You Want to Get Things Done

Obama warned Republicans to quit listening to Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats, during a White House discussion on his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.

To me, the president sounds more like a dictator then a President and especially if you remember all the words he used about gathering intelligent people to having intelligent answers to complex problems.

This sounds like another President that we had. He also demanded respect with no respect given infact, this president was about disrespect of those that protected you,me and him.

From Fox:

Irritated Obama ‘Stares Down’ Reporter During Press Corps Visit

When a reporter tried to quiz President Obama on Thursday about a lobbyist chosen for a top Defense Department job, the president quickly became agitated.

WASHINGTON — President Obama paid a surprise visit to members of the White House press corps Thursday evening when he walked through their working area of the West Wing, but he quickly became agitated when he was confronted with a question by one of the journalists.

According to reports, when the Politico’s Jonathan Martin asked the president about his nominee for deputy secretary of defense, William Lynn, Obama refused to answer, saying he was not there to take questions.

“I came down here to visit. I didn’t come down here — this is what happens. I can’t end up visiting you guys and shaking hands if I am going to grilled every time I come down here,” the president said.

Pressed further by the Politico reporter about his Pentagon nominee, Obama turned more serious, putting his hand on the reporter’s shoulder and staring him in the eye.

“All right, come on,” he said, with obvious irritation in his voice. “We will be having a press conference, at which time you can feel free to [ask] questions. Right now, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you guys — that’s all I was trying to do,” Politico.com reported.

Does this sound like the guy you voted in? Is this transperancy? Is this the guy that said he was going to be able to talk to anyone? This is a guy that seems to have a mighty ego that needs fed. Sounds like he though the duties of the President was to play hoops and hav a beer afterwards. If you listen to the start of the Hannity radio show and you’ll hear the evidence of that.

Bill Of Rights?

Posted in politics with tags , on January 25, 2009 by ronhardestyphotos

This is probably the best e-mail I’ve seen in a long, long time. The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA. This guy should run for President one day…

‘We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights.’

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone — not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes. (This one is my pet peeve…get an education and go to work….don’t expect everyone else to take care of you!)

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we’re just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don’t be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don’t be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won’t have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. (AMEN!)

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don’t care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from! (Lastly….)

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country’s history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!

If you agree, share this with a friend. No, you don’t have to, and nothing tragic will befall you if you don’t. I just think it’s about time common sense is allowed to flourish. Sensible people of the United States speak out because if you do not, who will?

Even President Obama understands above…

Is this an Auto Racing Press Release?

Posted in ARCA, Auto Racing, Available For Purchase, NASCAR, Sprint Cup with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on December 18, 2008 by ronhardestyphotos

The following is a press release I received for one of my other websites (www.JustPlainRacin.com). I read this and I became confused as whether this was for racing or was it for the Global Warming Crowd?

Let me say what my stand on Global Warming is… What Global Warming? I don’t believe that man can out do God, UNLESS we nuclear bomb everything… And even then we didn’t out do GOD. We out did man! I’m going to highlight those comments for you… Jut sit back and read the propaganda…

December 17, 2008 (Daytona Beach, FL) – EM Motorsports and Hylton Motorsports are proud to announce that Leilani Münter has been hired to test the team’s 2005 Ford Taurus during this weekend’s ARCA Series open test at Daytona International Speedway. NASCAR Legend James Hylton, 1966 NASCAR Rookie of the Year, will be Leilani’s mentor and coach throughout the weekend. “I am thrilled to have a driver of Leilani’s caliber in our race car. Her proven talent combined with her determination to succeed in the sport will be a winning combination in the ARCA Series,” said Hylton, “I am looking forward to seeing her race in the ARCA 200 at Daytona on February 7th.”

Leilani Münter has been racing since 2001 and last year became the fourth woman in history to race in the Indy Pro Series, the development league of IndyCar. Prior to running in the Indy Pro Series, she spent 6 years in stock car racing, earning 19 top ten finishes and 9 top five finishes in 39 starts. Leilani also sat the record at Texas Motor Speedway for the highest finish for a female driver at the 1.5 mile speedway. In 2007, Leilani moved into the Indy Pro Series and the open wheel community quickly took notice when she qualified fifth and had a very impressive run in her debut at Kentucky Speedway. This performance earned her praise from the Indy Pro garage, including four time Indy 500 Champion Rick Mears who said, “Leilani did a great job, I am looking forward to seeing her race some more.”

But no one is looking forward to Leilani getting back in a race car more than Leilani.

“I can’t thank Hylton Motorsports and EM Motorsports enough for this opportunity. There is no better racetrack in the world to get behind the wheel of a stock car than Daytona,” said Leilani, “To have the opportunity to work with James Hylton, a true legend in the sport, is an absolute honor and I know I will learn a lot from him.”

Sponsorship opportunities are available for Daytona and the remainder of the 2009 season. For information, contact Prime Time Media (New York City Office) 718-374-5146 or email prime@primemedia.info and for Leilani Münter’s management, personal services agreements, and media requests please contact Marissa Nilon, Wasserman Media Group mnilon@wmgllc.com or call Dan Levy at 919-256-1600.

About the Carbon Offset

Leilani will continue with her commitment she started in 2007 to offset her carbon footprint by adopting an acre of rainforest for every race she enters. As she did for all her Indy Pro Series events (both races and tests), Leilani will be offsetting her race car’s emissions with World Land Trust.

“I felt a responsibility to do something about the impact I have on the environment because of my racing career,” said Leilani, “I am speaking out about my actions in hopes of bringing awareness to race fans and the racing community. Carbon offsetting is not the solution to climate change, but I had to do something about my unavoidable emissions.”

Leilani holds a degree in biology for the University of California San Diego and is well known for her support of environmental causes. She has made three trips to Capitol Hill this year to speak to members of Congress on behalf of climate change legislation and is an Ambassador for the National Wildlife Federation.

“World Land Trust helps local organizations buy, protect, and replant tropical rainforest to help absorb the carbon we pour into the air,” said Byron Swift, President of World Land Trust-US, “Every time Leilani races she helps us purchase one more acre of endangered tropical rainforest. It’s just great that she’s doing this and at the same time raising awareness in the racing comm unity of the need to balance our use of carbon.”

Leilani is a long time vegetarian, an animal friendly and environmentally sound diet. An area of rain forest the size of seven football fields is destroyed every minute to make room for grazing cattle and an average meat-eater requires about 20 times as much land as a vegetarian to fulfill their yearly calorie requirements. The United Nations determined that raising animals for food generates almost 50 percent more greenhouse-gas emissions than all the cars, SUVs, trucks, and airplanes in the world combined. In addition, a report from the University of Chicago determined that switching to a vegan diet is 40 percent more effective in countering global warming than switching from a standard American car to a Toyota Prius.
